Historical Workshops

Professor Bronisław Geremek Centre supports talented students, broadly interested in contemporary history, with a programme of extracurricular classes, workshops and outings as well as a monthly paid scholarship. We intend to focus young people's interest on social and political processes that shaped modern Poland, Europe and the world, as well as to inspire the formation of peer groups oriented towards gaining knowledge and participation in civil activity.

Current significant developments in political, social and economic domains are a starting point for the debate on historical processes thet have led to them. Witnesses and active participants of major events of the last half-century are invited to the project. Students not only take part in events organised by the foundation, but are also encouraged to animate activities at schools and in their local communities.
